Free Song From Deru

In honor of my recent marriage I'm giving away the song that I wrote to walk down the aisle to. (Click the down-arrow to the right of the player to download.)

It was interesting thinking about how to compose the music (and a little stressful) because I wanted to make the music for the main procession different from the music for the bride's section but I didn't know how long each section should be. Then Jeremy and I were out to dinner with composer Bear McCreary and we got to talking about it. Turns out he'd written music for his wedding processional using live orchestra and he'd made the music loopable so that the orchestra could remain on certain sections depending upon how long they needed to be. This was an awesome idea. I decided to make each of my sections loopable as well and loaded them into Ableton Live. I had a friend (thanks Boreta!) trigger each section as we progressed down the aisle. Main procession, transition, bride, and outro. All in all it worked out great. It was beautiful day. Hope you enjoy.
